About Us

Jesse G. Oakley, III, CPA, has over 30 years of accounting and tax experience in both the public and private sectors. He is currently active as both a thoroughbred horse owner and breeder with Donnini and Oakley Thoroughbred Racing, LLC, Black Sheep Thoroughbred Racing, LLC and Donnini and Oakley Thoroughbred Breeding I, LLC. This enables him to bring his expertise to the equine industry.

Jesse grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. At an early age he became a fan of thoroughbred horse racing and attended many races at Churchill Downs and other area race tracks. He has attended almost every Kentucky Derby since he was thirteen years old. While employed by Touche Ross and Company, Louisville, Kentucky, in the late 70’s and early 80’s, he supervised the field work for the Churchill Downs, Inc. annual audit, as well as preparing the SEC filings and tax returns.
